Marine organisms are among the main human food resources, globally. Seas and oceans produce a rich and diverse source, not only for food industry, but also for other industries such as pharmaceutical and cosmetics. In spite of having long costal area, and a rich marine diversity, using marine organisms either as food resource or other products have been limited to proportionally limited species in Iran. This is while in other Asian counties like India and China, they use many more species as their target for the industries. Obviously their knowledge, experiences, and advances in such technologies have given then the present position. Scientific relationships and research collaboration in such fields can certainly speed up our progress achieving our aims in these fields.
